Memria is an organization that was founded in 2017 by Louis Bickford, who has been working for several years on themes related to truth-telling, reconciliation, collective memory, and accountability. The organization provides software and collaborates with various institutions like libraries and museums to collect, share, and archive personal stories. This has helped to power oral history and community storytelling initiatives worldwide.

Before starting Memria, Louis worked as the COO of RFK Human Rights, managed the global human rights program at the Ford Foundation, and was the Director of the Memory, Monuments, and Museums program at the International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ). He is also a professor at Columbia University.

Recently, Louis has been focusing on the issue of underrepresented groups' invisibility on the internet. He co-founded Biografika and works with partners such as Invisible Giants (Senegal) to make visible the stories of unsung heroes and sheroes and increase the discoverability of their inspiring and important work for the world to see.
