Dumi Right is a trailblazing performance artist, Hip Hop educator, and cultural ambassador. He was first introduced to audiences in the early 90s as a member of Zimbabwe Legit, one of the first Hip Hop groups out of Africa to gain international recognition. His influence has been documented in numerous publications as well as in academic works of Hip Hop history, including Say It Loud! The Story of Rap Music by K. Maurice Jones.

Dumi is also an official Hip Hop ambassador, having been selected by the US Department of State for a residency in Thailand, teaching emceeing to youth as part of a cultural exchange initiative. In addition, he has independently worked for decades, finding innovative ways to leverage Hip Hop as a tool to educate and activate. He has utilized his talents to highlight important global issues and collaborate with grassroots organizations that use music arts and culture to serve youth. He has also been an integral part of creating collaborative music projects to highlight the perspectives and voices of Hip Hop artists from all over the world.
